Prayer of Ignatius Loyola

Prayer of Ignatius Loyola

Soul of my savior; sanctify my breast

Body of Christ be; you my saving guest

Blood of my savior; bathe me in your tide

Wash me you water; gushing from your side

Strength and protection; may your passion be

O blessed Jesus; hear and answer me

Deep in your wounds Lord; hide and shelter me

So shall I never; from you parted be

Guard and defend me; from the malign foe

In death’s dread moments; make me yours alone

Call me and hide me come to you on high

Where I may praise you with your saints for…aye

Lord have mercy

Kyrie

O lord Jesus Christ
You came to call the sinners
We, sinner, crucified you lord
Lord have mercy -2

O lord Jesus Christ
You showed us the way to love
We sinners blocked this way of love
Christ have mercy-2

O lord Jesus Christ
You did shed your blood for us
We forget this great sacrifice
Lord have mercy-2

The lord is at my side

Responsorial hymn

The lord is at my side
There is nothing I shall want
I take rest in the green
Pastures of his love and grace
And the king is at my side
So the kingdom leaps with joy
No enemy shall break the fortress now.

He’s the father of us all
He’s the savior of this world
Strong hold of the Israel
I shall put my trust in him

When I am walking through the
valley of death
You hold my hand and lead
When I am passing through the
darkness of life
You be my light and guide
Heaven and earth proclaim your love
I too praise with all my heart.
